Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge to the business, with over 30 years’ experience in accounting and taxation across various industries. “We decided to start Effortless Accounts” to work with our clients and help them take control of their business and make informed decisions for their future financial security”.

Starting in public practice, Michelle has worked with both individuals and SME’s supporting their taxation and accounting requirements. When Michelle’s son was born, she started her own accounting firm, which has now been operating for over 20 years. Michelle also worked as a lecturer at Swinburne TAFE teaching in the areas of accounting, taxation and bookkeeping. Michelle enjoys and finds it very rewarding to share her knowledge to assist and teach individuals and businesses to manage their finances with ease.

Michelle has held numerous CFO positions in both the corporate and non-for-profit sectors. Her experience spans various industries including telecommunications, property investment and development and a small children’s charity. Working in the non-for-profit sector gave Michelle the insight that being able to contribute towards work that was changing people’s lives was very rewarding and was something she was exceptionally passionate about. “Working with children from developing countries, bringing them here to Australia for life-saving or life-changing operations was something that can’t be put into words. Seeing them with a smile on their face and returning home happier and healthier with a bright future ahead of them was the best feeling in the world.”

Working within the accounting and taxation industry, her financial experience combined with her training and charity work give her the perfect foundation from which to successfully manage the financial aspects and to help clients take control of their bookkeeping and compliance.
